During the evaluation of NTM in Dong Nai last January, the Director - Chief of the Central New Rural Coordination Office Nguyen Minh Tien emphasized: “Building NTM is a permanent, long-term job with a starting point. there is no end point; If not, the title will be withdrawn, in fact some localities in the country have piloted the recovery of communes and districts of NTM. Mr. Tien also said that Dong Nai needs to organize evaluation, inspection and review teams to continue to provide solutions to improve the quality of communes and districts that have been recognized to meet the standards of NTM. In particular, focusing on the goal of constantly improving the income of rural people; contribute to creating the mark to achieve the target set in 2019.  

Expressing the determination in building rural areas during the "post-NTM" period, Dong Nai proposed to the Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue to issue regulations on dealing with non-maintaining localities and maintaining solidarity. fruits after 5 years of NTM standard. Besides, the province also proposed that the Central Government instruct Dong Nai to make a dossier for the province to complete the national target program to build an NTM to actively implement. On the other hand, piloting model NTM district is a problem that is both new and difficult, so it needs a special mechanism to support it.

Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh emphasized: "After NTM, Dong Nai is under pressure of both quantity and quality, especially in terms of increasing the number of communes meeting the advanced standard of NTM. The province also provides a specific roadmap for continuously improving income for rural people. Specifically, in 2019, the average income per capita of the advanced rural communes must reach 64 million VND / person and increase to 66 million VND / person by 2020 ”.

* Attracting investment in processing

After the period of formation of large production areas, investment in deep processing to increase agricultural value is the best way to maintain and develop the advantages of agricultural production. Therefore, Dong Nai determined that this is a way to increase "quality" in new rural construction. Also according to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Chanh: “Dong Nai has the advantage that the province has formed an industrial style very early. People also have thinking about industry so developing processing industry is a step that the province will focus on directing implementation in the coming time. Localities need to review industrial clusters and material areas so as to form some agricultural product processing clusters ”.
