Cacao Bungo 3 in 1: Dong Nai's first and only 5-star OCOP product

Dong Nai's first and only 5-star OCOP product is Bungo 3-in-1 pure cocoa powder from Trong Duc Cocoa Company Limited in Phu Hoa commune, Dinh Quan district. 5-star OCOP is a high quality product that meets international standards.

According to statistics, at the end of 2020, 63/63 provinces and cities across the country approved the OCOP product per commune program plan. There have been more than 2,900 products recognized with 3 stars or more, especially there are only more than 70 potential 5-star products nationwide.

In Dong Nai, the program has been implemented since mid-2019. Up to now, the whole province has 46 products achieving 3 stars or more, reaching 283% of the target for the 2018-2020 period, of which 27 products have achieved 3 stars, 18 products achieved 4 stars. In particular, there is only one first 5-star standard product, this is also the province's outstanding event in 2020 in the field of rural agriculture.

To build a stable raw material area, the company has signed contracts to purchase cocoa beans for farmers in the province since 2014. On average, farmers earn about 70 million VND per hectare, although profits are not as high as some types of cocoa beans. Other crops but in return are very stable and cocoa is intercropped under the cashew canopy, so double profits are achieved.
