Seeing that our people only sell raw fruit at dirt cheap prices, but import finished products at high prices; Then people only take the seeds without taking advantage of other ingredients such as water or fruit flesh... I wonder why Vietnamese people don't make the finished products themselves, taking full advantage of the benefits from this fruit!
Thinking is doing, after retiring, that old physician started working to bring his dream into reality. As Mr. Kham said, "The fate of the profession comes when we accept it. I am a Party member, so I will implement the Party's policy on the agricultural front." In the early stages of implementation, he encountered many difficulties, not only opposition from his relatives but also from many local people. However, that year (2006) he was still determined to borrow and mortgage the assets accumulated after many years of working as a physician... for about 30 billion VND. He invested in lending 50% of the value of seedlings to farmers in Dong Nai, Binh Thuan, and Lam Dong provinces. Everyone doubted the ability to recover capital, but he was determined to retain his idea and passion with many "bold" decisions such as signing a contract to ensure the lowest purchasing price for farmers of 4,000 VND. VND/kg of fruit (if the market price increases, the Company will still increase the price for farmers). However, during the period of implementing the cocoa purchasing policy with farmers, Mr. Kham encountered many difficulties. When it was time to harvest, many traders came to buy and pushed up the price, causing farmers to refuse to sell the fruit back to the Company. However, he thought, "As long as the farmers have the Company, if they have money, if they lose the farmers, they will also lose the Company", so he decided to cancel the 3 billion debt for the farmers.

Not only increasing production, Mr. Kham always tries to exploit maximum efficiency from cocoa trees. He began researching the production of products from the cocoa tree such as wine, candy, milk... to take advantage of 100% of the ingredients of the cocoa fruit such as water, fruit flesh, shell... Visitors can also directly see the process of drying and fermenting cocoa beans and the cocoa factory. Currently, the Company's cocoa raw material area has been certified by UTZ in the Netherlands, and there are 4 typical products voted by consumers as high quality Vietnamese goods. Currently, the Company is proposing to the province to establish an agricultural product processing industrial cluster for agriculture in cocoa growing areas.
