Trong Duc Cacao Company Limited - Conducting inspection tours for visitors
Originating from the idea of promoting cocoa products, Trong Duc Cocoa Company Limited, after operating stably, opened a facility selling products right in front of the company gate, in Phu Hoa commune, Dinh Quan district. After a period of expanding the business market and collaborating with a Japanese company to introduce new products into the production line, Trong Duc Cocoa Company Limited has added a business form combined with travel tours, to promote products according to consumer inspection. Thereby, tourists can better understand the production process and quality of Vietnamese products and also to promote tourism in the mountainous district of Dinh Quan. Implemented since May 2016, in combination with more than 20 travel companies in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces, Trong Duc Cocoa Company has welcomed many tourist groups, including many groups of students, and received a lot of support from this form of tourism. Ms. Nhung, a tourist from Cu Chi district - Ho Chi Minh City, confided: “Honestly, today is the first time I have visited a cocoa garden and also the first time I have seen cocoa fruit and I really like it. At home, everyone loves cocoa. If I have the chance to pass by here again, I also want to bring my children to visit and learn about it.”
Ms. Le Thi Thuy, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said: “When I go on tours to introduce Vietnamese products, from planting to production and when I try them, I find them very delicious. Vietnamese products are very delicious and very reassuring. Because now, many floating products are mixed with many toxic chemicals that are very dangerous, making users feel uneasy. But from the time I went on a tour until now, when I tried cocoa and ate chocolate, Vietnamese products are very delicious and very reassuring.”
Not only attracting the attention of tourists from far away, but also local people and neighboring districts are quite interested in coming to the resting area of Cacao Trong Duc to enjoy cups of pure cocoa next to the cool scenery and learn about cocoa, a product that many people think Vietnam cannot grow and process.
Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Linh, Phu Ngoc commune, Dinh Quan district, shared:
“For me, before, I often introduced Dinh Quan to the first of the three Chong Rocks, Mai Waterfall, Ba Giot Waterfall... there are many waterfalls in Dinh Quan. But now that I see a place growing cocoa here, I find it very interesting, and when I enjoy it, the price is very reasonable. I will introduce more to my friends about this place so that my friends can come here and enjoy and learn more about Dinh Quan, which has cocoa products. I think that everyone who comes here will have many good memories and souvenirs to bring home, so that I can enjoy the flavor more. Maybe from the past until now, everyone thinks that only foreign countries have cocoa, but now I think that in Dinh Quan, in Vietnam, in this Dinh Quan area, there is a type of cocoa that is both delicious and affordable, so I think that in the future, I will introduce many more friends to come here.”
With the support of local people and tourists during the initial implementation period, Cacao Trong Duc is currently completing a tourism model to visit and inspect cocoa trees from the nursery, to planting, caring, harvesting, processing and especially organizing for groups of students to try being farmers and workers in the Cacao factory for a day to better understand the production process of cocoa products.

“Trong Duc Cocoa Company Limited also cooperates with travel companies to introduce more to consumers about good quality Vietnamese products. We also expand the scale and model to cooperate with travel companies to create tours for students to experience what it is like to be a farmer for a day. For example, we will plant trees, harvest fruits, process and produce products like we have used. Our company also wants to promote more to consumers that Vietnamese products are also very good, it brings health benefits to consumers. People can see and hear about the products produced by Vietnamese companies.”
The expansion of the business model of Trong Duc Cocoa Company Limited not only creates trust among domestic consumers about Vietnamese products but also contributes to promoting tourism in the district in addition to natural attractions and tourism in Dinh Quan district.
